Costume on DVD
For those costume buffs out there who need to find examples of costume both period and fantasy, the LRC has made life a little easier. We have produced a guide to costume in our DVD film collection which you will find next to the film section in the rolling shelves. You can also do a subject search on the IPAC Film - costume to get a list of period films. We have listed films by the century they are set in, and for the 20th century we have broken it down further by decade. So if you are looking for medieval tunics, Regency gowns, Victorian crinolines, the flapper fashion of the roaring twenties or mini skirts of the swinging sixties they should now be easier to locate. Please feel free to suggest any films for the collection which you think are good examples of period or fantasy costume and we will do our best to obtain a copy.

You have until 15th May to fill in the LRC Student Survey and you could win a £10 Book Token or £10 Printing Credits in our Prize Draw. It will just take a few minutes and you can even fill it in online at http://moodle.lipa.ac.uk/ Alternatively there are paper copies in the LRC.

Aldham Robarts LRC - Summer Closure Info
As you may be aware the Aldham Robarts LRC (L1 9DE) will be closing over the summer for refurbishment - 16th May to 4th October.
The Avril Robarts LRC on Tithebarn Street (L2 2ER), and the IM Marsh LRC (L17 6BD ) will remain open.
The Avril Robarts LRC will be the main point of call during this time. Some of the Aldham’s stock will be moved there, and you will be able to request items which may have been put in temporary storage. The only collections which will be completely unavailable will be the Special Collections, Exhibition Catalogues, Slide Collection and some of the Archives.

Avril Robarts Extended Summer Opening Hours
Monday – Thursday 8.45am – 9pm
Friday 8.45am – 5pm
Saturday 10am – 4pm
LRC Saturday Opening
The LRC will be open 10.30 - 5.30 pm on the following Saturdays. We open on these days to make sure our MA students get to visit the LRC, but everyone is welcome!
