LRC Response to the Student Survey 2008
You filled in the questionnaire, now we have published our response to your comments and questions!
You can access the full report with all the statistics and all your comments in the LRC; a summary is available from Moodle and there are paper copies at the LRC desk. In all 94 of you completed the Survey with an even distribution of 1st, 2nd and 3rd Years.
Our response includes some useful tips on how to make the most of the resources on offer, and information on a variety of services that you might not have realised existed, including our monthly Saturday openings.
You were very complimentary about the staff with 99% of you happy with the service you receive and 94% of you saying it met all your needs. A high percentage of students make good use of the resources with book loans and CDs being the most popular at 91% and 89% respectively.
The results of the Survey are extremely valuable and they help us to decide where to make improvements. For instance, as a direct result of your comments we have recently purchased more books on cultural policy, new American and British plays (with more on the way), and contemporary pop and musical scores. Look out for forthcoming titles on fashion and costume, such as The New English Dandy, The Seductive Shoe, Artwear, and texts on fashion from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, to name a few.
To find more answers to your comments take a look at our response.
